2011-12 New season

The riots that swept over England in the week before the first round of Premier League season delayed Everton season by a week.

Our opponents Queens Park Rangers are newly promoted and if their first match (0-4 loss at the hands of Bolton) was anything to go by they might need some time to get used to the pace of the Premiership.
The Toffees are used to slow starts and this might be the opportunity to break a pattern that has been a factor in our failure to challenge the big 4.

Rumors

At the moment the fans, at least to some extent are more concerned over off-field subjects due to several rumors about the clubs financial situation..
The fact that the club is not performing great football at the moment is one reason why this is being focused on so much.

Having limited understanding and knowledge of economy, I will mainly focus on linking to other sources. As far as I understand the situation is not precarious, and that even though we might be struggling there is no cause for serious concern. One rumor said the club might face administration, but that proved not to be the case. Still, the financial state of the club could be better..

As it has been reported on Toffeweb, amongst other places there is a group of fans that wish to know what is going on at the club. The main problem is the lack of information that the fans feel, and that has resulted in an increasing worry..

I will try to keep up with the events as well as I can, but can't promise to make sense of it, but will try to link to as many independent sources as I can as well as to both the clubs official channels and the various fan groups and blogs.
I want to stress the fact that I said try to keep up, as I might forget and do something else instead. If we start winning again, I could be easily distracted...

New year, same season.

The silver lining I was able to find when I tried to find a positive way of describing this season was the fact we have only lost 6 games, which means only 5 teams has lost fewer than us (we are even with Chelsea).

Yes we are hard to beat, but there are even more good news:
I have found a current Premier League table we are leading!
Which one I hear you ask, I'll give you a hint; We are leading this table just ahead of Fulham, Birmingham and Sunderland.
It is of course for those that haven't guessed the table of most drawn games. Usually this table is won by whatever team Mark Hughes is managing, and his Fulham is as you'd expect our strongest challenger.

So, every time we are unable to win and each time we only get a draw despite dominating the game think about how well we are doing on this table instead.
